I'm Ian Foster, and I serve coaches, healers, transformational leaders and other heart-centered entrepreneurs. I'm working hard to "break the mold" of what it means to be an attorney.

The Q&A calls are recorded for those who cannot attend ... and the recordings are made available ONLY to those who participate in this particular run of the program. This promotes a trusting atmosphere where you are safe to open up, knowing the recordings won't be shared with strangers.

No, and for good reasons.
This program is about empowerment. It is not about us doing things for you. The program is designed to empower you with knowledge and skills so you can take action and either draft your own documents or edit your existing documents. And the program works! Our students get excited about using their new skills and they take action for themselves!
PLUS, a good contract is one that's written in plain language -- often in your own words -- so you and your clients understand it and feel good about working together!
We do have document template packages and contract workshops which we sell separately, as well as services where we create custom documents for your unique business. However, we ask that you take our program first because there is no substitute for empowering knowledge.
You might be surprised how frequently I hear things like:
- "I've been operating without a legal entity and nothing's gone wrong."
- "I haven't gotten help with my contracts and there's never been a problem."
- "I haven't researched the laws and the government hasn't shut me down."
Saying those things is no different from saying things like these:
- "It hasn't rained in weeks so why should I buy an umbrella?"
- "I haven't gotten in a car accident in years so maybe I'll get rid of my car insurance."
- "I don't have a toothache so why should I brush and floss?"
You get the point.
The fact that you've been running your business for some period of time without any serious legal problem does not mean you won't have legal trouble in the future.
You wouldn't listen to driving advice from someone who doesn't have car insurance and doesn't wear a seat belt ... so don't listen to legal advice from people who don't take the most basic legal steps to protect themselves and their clients.

You've taken a leap of faith to start a business that helps people and build the life of your dreams. That's an awesome thing!
It is quite common for new coaches, healers, and others to assume that because they are just starting out and making little or no income yet, they don't need legal help. Unfortunately that's a dangerous myth.
The truth is this: most types of legal trouble can (and do) happen even if you are new and don't earn much money ... in fact, that's when these problems are most devastating because you don't yet have the resources.
In fact, the BEST time to get empowered in the law and build a strong legal foundation is when you're new! It is much less difficult and less expensive for new businesses to take empowered legal action.
The short answer is: no, the material is not limited to the U.S.
The material has application in many places. Indeed, in addition to the United States, I've had students from Australia, Canada, the U.K., and even Switzerland!
Every country, province, and state has its own legal rules and regulations. Thus, very often the specific answers to legal questions will depend on where you live (or in some cases where your client lives). And some of the specific examples I give are from the United States.
But the principles, issues, and questions that need answering are remarkably consistent in many countries, and I've had students from around the world get great value out the the program.
When you hire me as your attorney, it's like you're paying me to build a shiny, new legal vehicle for you to drive. And I would do my best to build you a beautiful, strong, and reliable vehicle.

This is a coaching program where I give you education and guidance rather than individualized legal services.
There is a time and place to hire me (or someone like me) as your attorney, but first I recommend you take a cost-effective and empowering program to gain foundational knowledge for yourself.
The Q&A calls typically last about two hours. But on most days there is no hard ending time and we stay on as long as it takes to answer everyone's questions.
You will get access to at least eight live Q&A calls. We sometimes schedule an additional bonus call if we find there is a subject which generates a lot of questions or to help people who can't make it to the regularly scheduled calls.
The calls are recorded and the recordings usually are posted within 24 hours of the call.
The calls typically involve some teaching on that week's topic plus lots of time answering questions in real time. People also submit questions by email when they know they can't attend the call and the questions are then answered at the beginning of the call for everyone's benefit.
Like any opportunity to learn and empower yourself, you'll get out of it what you put into it.
If you watch the modules, complete the worksheets, show up to the Q&A calls, ask thoughtful questions, and take action to implement what you've learned ... then of course you're going to get a lot more out of this course than if you didn't do those things.
